250px-442px_-_london_lead_imageHow ungrateful task to talk about London. So much to say, thousands words are not enough to describe this city. One of the most beautiful cities on the world. History, tradition, culture, politics, philosophy future,… Everything is there!
Capital of UK and England and largest urban in the European Union (two words so eagerly expected for most of my countrymen’s) with 7, 5 millions of people. Since history of London is so big I recommend that you read History of London article at Wikipedia.
There are bunch of things that are worthy to see in London and I will mention few you can’t pass… 
For the start –London museums! London has maybe the biggest number of museums located in one town. In most museums entrance is free.

Buckingham palace. Official queen residency, and of the main royal palaces. Tourist tours are allowed only over the summer months.

The London Eye. The world’s third by size observation wheel, located on the South Bank of the Thames with magnificent view of London.

Tower Bridge. This 19th century bridge is situated by the Tower of London near the City. It contains two high towers and a drawbridge. Visit of the engine rooms is allowed.

St Paul’s Cathedral. Sir Christopher Wren’s great accomplishment, built in the 1666 after the Great Fire of London. Cathedral is known by great acoustics.

Wembley Stadium. Primarily a football venue, but is used for music concerts and various sports events.

Palace of Westminster and Big Ben. The location of the United Kingdom parliament and Unesco World Heritage site

London also has many sports events. Most known is Wimbledon tennis tournament, various cricket and rugby tournaments. There are 13 soccer clubs, which of whom five are mega popular Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

London has 5 big airports of which Heathrow is most known. Heathrow is UK and Europe largest airport, and if you count number of passengers it is the also world busiest airport. If there you should not miss London buses and black cabs…
